I D Act-Strike & Lockouts – Form Q
When there is a strike or lockout the management shall give information to the Labour Office or the Asst Commissioner of Labour within 24 hours from the commencement of strike/lockout.
The report of lockout/strike shall be in Form ‘Q’.
In any industry where the workmen go on strike or the employer declares a lock-out, the management and the Unions at whose behest the workmen have gone on strike shall give telephonic or telegraphic intimation within 24 hours from the commencement of strike or lock-out to the 2Assistant Commissioner of Labour or the 2Deputy Commissioner of Labour concerned,
Specifying
(i) the total number of workmen in the industry;
(ii) the number of persons involved in the strike or lock-out
(iii) the causes for the strike or lock-out;
(iv) the names of the unions functioning in the establishment;
(v) The time and date of commencement of the strike or lock-out. Information regarding the commencement of strike or lock-out may be furnished by telegram where the Assistant Commissioner of Labour or the Deputy Commissioner of Labour concerned could not be contacted over the telephone
